WHO ARE WE?

America West Realty is a locally owned and operated real estate company that was started by Stephen Parks, Jr., in 1999 to represent buyers and sellers in South West Montana. We offer over 20 years of experience in new construction, residential, land and commercial real estate.

With our Montana roots, our commitment to honesty, and our knowledge of this great place we are lucky to call home, we provide our clients with a unique, well-rounded array of services. Whether you are looking to purchase, rent, build, or lease, we will be there to get you exactly where you are meant to be.

Real estate is built on relationships and forming connections. We are looking to create a client/employee relationship that expands beyond a simple exchange and, instead, offers support, guidance, and ease of mind for each of our clients. We want you to feel joyful and confident in your buying/selling journey and to share our everlasting love for Montana with you. Putting down roots should feel right.

Our Team

Steve Parks

Owner/ Broker

I was raised in Lafayette, California  and soon became a fourth-generation realtor after graduating from University of the Pacific in 1989. Real Estate has been in my family for decades starting with my grandfather, Harry A. Parks, who built a company with the same name in 1948 in Oakland, CA. Harry taught me the importance of staying true to our roots, keeping our families close, and celebrating togetherness. These are all aspects of life that real estate allows for.

After graduating, I moved to Walnut Creek and worked alongside some talented agents at Cushman & Wakefield Commercial Real Estate, which specialized in commercial leasing. Here I gained priceless experience, as I was working in one of the fastest growing cities in the US-San Francisco. In 1996, I moved to Twin Bridges, Montana to be near my family’s ranch. I soon caught Montana fever as many people do when they visit this incredible outdoor playground, and I haven’t looked back since. I received my Montana State Broker’s License in 1997 and started a mortgage company in Bozeman called Fronteir Financial Services that I ran for five years.

This leads me to now, where I run two businesses dedicated to buying, selling, and building properties in Bozeman and surrounding areas: America West Real Estate and Parks Angel Construction. My goal is to channel Harry A. Parks by helping you find  your dream home so that you can put down roots, settle into this tight-knit community, and celebrate life in the most beautiful place in the world, Montana.

When I’m not at the office, you can find me fly-fishing, skiing or hunting around the state and enjoying the company of my family at our ranch in the Ruby Valley.

Colleen O’Quinn

Realtor

I grew up in Wyoming, and went to school at MSU. Having lived here for the past 20 years, I am very familiar with Bozeman and the surrounding areas, including Big Sky, where I like to spend most of my spare time. I am involved in the schools and community, and love Southwest Montana.

I am a proud mother of 3 kids, who are involved in ski racing, lacrosse, and fencing. I have a few pets too, but my bulldog will always be my pride and joy.

I take full advantage of everything Montana has to offer, including fly fishing, skiing, golf, lake surfing, camping, and just about anything else outdoors.

I promise to work hard for her clients, and make myself available whenever you need me. My knowledge of the area, the schools, the subdivisions, and amenities, will make your home or commercial buying an experience you can feel good about.

Ellie Higgins

Realtor

My family has lived in both Gallatin and Madison counties for over 25 years. I have spent all of my summers here for as long as I can remember, splitting time between Bozeman and the Ruby Valley. It was during these summers that I fell deeply in love with Montana and realized that I would soon follow in my family’s footsteps and live here full time.

I graduated from Santa Clara University in 2019, worked as an elementary school teacher, and then quickly switched gears to become a realtor. With my knack for finding beautiful spaces, my knowledge of Bozeman and surrounding areas, and my commitment to this wonderful community, I believe I am exactly where I should be professionally. I have found a career that allows me to welcome people home, celebrate the wonders of Montana, and strengthen my community.

They say that home is a feeling not a place. I say that it is both a feeling and a place. The close-knit and friendly community of Bozeman naturally yields a sense of belonging for everyone, no matter where they come from. Even though I originally hail from the Bay Area, CA, Montana has always been my true home. I hope to give each of my clients this sense of home through sharing my love of this state with them.

When I am not working you can find me in Bozeman or the Ruby Valley hiking, hunting, fishing, and painting.
